My made a model of a tiny house, it has two levels and five windows. I knew I wanted to make a house of some sort right away. I looked up tiny houses on pinterest and got some inspiration. I also drew sketches in my sketchbook. At first I wanted to make my tiny house in hawaii. I chose Hawaii because I would love to travel there one day or even live there for a few years. I love spending time outside and swimming, growing up my parents always told me if I didn't get out of the water I would turn into a fish. The meaning behind creating a tiny house is that I would be content and happy living in one, that I don't need some extravagant house to be happy. I found a video on YouTube by Justin Built that showed me how to make a tiny house model. I wrote down dimensions that I thought would work (12x6x9). It was hard for me to cut through the plaster and glue it together because I am not very handy at the stuff put persisted it definitely was not perfect but it worked! Once I got it all put together I was a struggle to think of things to add to it. I added tin foil to the top. I was talking to my dad to see if he had anything in the shed that I could use. He had wood scrap pieces. He helped me cut them and lay it on there with glue. We ended up running out of glue. We then resorted to tape and made the best out of it. My goal for this artwork was to do my best to make a tiny house model and add to it with the supplies that I had at home. My overall thoughts are that I am happy with the execution of my plan but I do wish I was more creative and could have added to it so some sides were not so plain.

I notice that there is a lot of color, buildings, and stuff going on in the artwork. When I say stuff- there is a bunch of faces, boats, fish, hearts, stars, and birds. I like all the colors it looks happy. Yes, I believe that his artwork is successful. It is successful because James Rizzi has original design you don't see artwork like his a lot. I also would say it may look like he throws it together but if you try and recreate some of it, it can be hard. James Rizzi has talent. Creating this artwork did not take to long, but if I were to do this again I would use better markers and outline lighter so it does not peak through. I liked how simple it was yet all the details added makes it one of a kind. I am going to create a tiny house mini model. I will use task board or cardboard. Mrs.Underhill has materials for the tin roof. I watched a YouTube tutorial on How to Build a Tiny House by Justin Built, he gave dimensions that I can look at for a guide! |
